Welcome – Illumina Multiomics Day: Uppsala

Join Illumina for Lunch & Learn to explore the latest innovations shaping the future of genomics and multiomics.

Join our Lunch & Learn to explore the latest innovations shaping the future of genomics and multiomics.

  • When: 23 September 2025 at 10:00
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Where: SciLifeLab, Trippelrummet, BMC entrance C11 Husargatan 3 Uppsala

The genomics industry is evolving at a rapid pace, and Illumina is at the forefront of this change. In this session, we’ll take a deep dive into the exciting innovations coming out of our R&D pipeline, highlighting how we are overcoming the historical limitations of NGS to unlock unprecedented biological insights with multiomics. From expanding beyond genomics to integrating epigenomes, transcriptomes, proteomes, and spatial data, we’ll discuss how Illumina is paving the way for a more complete understanding of biology.

What you will learn:

  • Illumina’s strategy to enable customers to unlock a deeper understanding of biology across multiple omes (genome, epigenome, transcriptome, proteome, etc.) and modalities.
  • How our innovations in multiomics, including Constellation mapped read technology, Illumina 5-base solution (simultaneous methylation profiling and variant detection), spatial technology, single-cell and proteomics solutions, are enhancing biological discovery.
  • The future of genomics and how Illumina is bringing integrated, AI-powered insights to a new level.

Agenda

Multiomics extends beyond single-cell technologies! Join SciLifeLab National Genomics Infrastructure (NGI) and Illumina for this seminar exploring how Next Generation Sequencing is unlocking deeper biological insights across -omes and modalities. Discover the latest applications shaping the future of multiomic research. Learn more about the most recent advances in NGS-based proteomics and epigenomics (5-base), developments in single cell and spatial transcriptomics, as well as innovations eliminating standard NGS library prep and unlocking long-distance genomic information.
