Microwell-based BD Rhapsody HT Xpress

The BD Rhapsody HT Express system for single-cell multiomic analysis allows for molecular profiling of 100-100,000 cells per sample, with up to 8 samples in parallel. It is a microwell-based method combined with bead-based mRNA retrieval. A microwell array enables single cell separation in individual wells and tagging of their RNA species with barcoded beads. Subsequent cell lysis allows for bead-mediated RNA capture. RNA species are converted to cDNA and processed further to library preparation. RNA species present in a given single cell are captured on the same bead and will share the same cellular barcode.
