Nimagen EasySeq Full-length 16S library preparation (ONT)
Full length sequencing of the 16S gene provides a significantly higher taxonomic resolution compared to sequencing of isolated regions.
The EasySeq Full-Length 16S Library Prep Kit (NimaGen) enables efficient preparation of libraries for Oxford Nanopore sequencing of the complete 16S rRNA gene.
The protocol can process DNA from both low-biomass and high-diversity samples, with no need for culture-based enrichment.
The EasySeq protocol uses NimaGen’s RC-PCR technology to perform targeted amplification and sample barcoding in a single reaction. The kit amplifies the full-length 16S rRNA gene (V1–V9 regions), enabling superior taxonomic classification. After library prep, samples are compatible with ONT’s ligation sequencing workflows (SQK-LSK114) for use on ONT instruments.
Total price for library preparation of 1 plate (max 93 samples) and sequencing is ca 35000 SEK.
